After well-received collaborations with Nike and ASICS, Sean Wotherspoon brought his talents to the three stripes with the release of the adidas Superstar Sean Wotherspoon SuperEarth. The collaboration developed the distinctive and environmentally conscious sneaker. The SuperEarth Superstar combines Wotherspoon’s love for vintage clothing with his vegan-focused mission.
The white upper is complemented with multicolored floral embroidery of Sean's own drawings. The pair also sports embroidered threads that extend outside the sole, referencing the Y-3 Super Position quite heavily. Pastel blue and pink overlays are scattered throughout the silhouette to give a youthful vibe. A graphic drawing of the Earth is printed on each tongue below branded tabs that sport the design’s name.Â
And though loud, each of the aforementioned details only exist to support the overarching construction: an entirely mindful vegan leather center piece that’s paired well with 100% recycled polyester lining, reused Ortholite sockliners, natural rubber composed outsoles, vegan glues, and paper-made laces.
