With the debut of the now-iconic Air Jordan 5 Retro Michigan 2019, Jordan honored the University of Michigan. The 2019 Jordan 5 release adds to the collection of sneaker silhouettes that have included the iconic blue and yellow colors worn by the university over the years. Nubuck uppers and perforated side panels are features of the design. At the heel of the Retro AJ5, a "Team Jordan" emblem replaces the conventional "Jumpman" one.
